Common questions
Is Fundfinch really free?
Yes. There are no ads, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases. Coins in the app are play money and can't be bought with real money.
Who is it for?
Young adults ages 18–25: students, people starting their first full-time job, and anyone figuring out credit, loans, insurance, and investing for the first time. For ages 7–17, try our kids app, Dimefinch.
Is this financial advice?
No. Lessons explain how things work in general, with real examples and current U.S. figures. They aren't personalized advice. For big decisions, check official sources or talk to a qualified professional.
How current are the numbers?
Figures like 401(k) and IRA limits are for 2026 and are updated each year through free app updates.
Does the app connect to my bank?
No. Fundfinch never asks for bank, card, or account details, and it doesn't collect any personal data. See our Privacy Policy.
Can progress move to a new phone?
Not yet. Because we don't collect any data, progress lives only on the device it was created on. Deleting the app or switching phones starts fresh.
Why does the savings bank pay 1% every day?
We speed up interest so you can watch compound growth happen in days instead of years. Real savings accounts pay interest per year, usually much less.
How do I get new lessons?
New lessons and fixes download automatically when the app opens. You may see a "New stuff is ready!" banner. Tap it to restart into the new version. You can also tap Check for updates in Settings (⚙️ on the home screen).
How do I start over?
In Settings, tap Reset all progress. This erases coins, lessons, and items on that device and can't be undone.
Is Market Mania real investing?
No. Market Mania uses made-up companies and play money to teach ideas like risk and diversification. It is not investment advice.
